Filming day gone wrong (again)

In a previous blogs, Brennon, onara and I were supposed to film our blog last week friday. We all ended up having other commitments that we need to attend to. Since we had other commitments we needed to find another day to film. Once we did we kept having to rechedule. The first time was because of bad weather in our area for a long lasting period of time. Most of our film is outside so we needed to be outside to finish filming which because of the weather we couldn’t do. We all talked and ended up getting another day to film. This film session ended up also being cancelled due to other priorities in our personal lives. The boy we needed cancelled on us for a soccer game we had to attend. He’s one of our main actors in the film so this caused a reschedule once again. The last day we could film was the 10th of October aka today. We had all hope that the last day of filming would be able to go well. Due to our insane amount of unluck, brennon cancelled once again. This time it was because of sickness. He told us he didn't want to risk us getting sick and put in the same amount of bad condition he’s in. We had everything planned out, but this ruined our plans making us think about what we could do since it’s our last available day. Me and onara figured out a plan about an hour later. We were going to call one of our girl-friends to see if they could come and be in the film. We finally got one of our friends to agree. The film changed from a lover film of a boy and girl to a love film for girl and girl. Me and my friend jenna will be the actors while onara is the person who films once again.

My perspective of the editing

 As we know from last project and this one, onara is the editor and camera woman while i’m the actor and idea person. With our final task coming up we have both realized that i’m going to need to learn editing. This is because the video will be longer than anyone we’ve ever done, which will make it trickier for onara to edit. Longer clips to edit, longer clips to film, transition etc. So i decided that i would be with onara while she edits this time. This is so in the future i know how to help her and i can learn by watching her. What we did is for the first part of editing which was cutting the scenes. Basically just cutting the scenes to be shorter so we didn’t take as much time in the video. This was easily done on the iPhone just by clicking edit on the camera app. Then she started putting the clips together. She put the clips together with an app called cap cut.   I chose onara to work with for many reasons. The first reason is i see her almost everyday afterschool for volleyball. So i would be able to shoot with her after volleyball or before outside of school. Secondly, Our parents are friends. They trust that we will be both safe in either of there hands. If i had a partner whos family i didn't know, my parents wouldn't be to comfortable leaving me in their care. Another reason why i chose her is because she's good at finding the needed and correct research. If we need to find something ASAP she is able to quickly find it. She also is a good value to the project because she knows how to shoot. What i mean is she knows how to recognize angles and shoot them clearly. What i can bring to the table is resources. We have already thought about our commercial and what we were thinking i can provide the resources we need for it. Such as the props needed and the transport needed to go where we need for shooting.
