Final task pitch blog

 My group and i spoke and we had many ideas we could do but we narrowed it down to three good ones so we can write pros and cons on each of them. Here they are:

1. A group of friends decide they want to go camping in the woods, but they had no idea what type of woods they were staying in. They must all do the best they can to try and escape. 

2. A group of friends read a book about an abounded house and want to explore it to write a report on what's inside. Once they enter the house the doors lock and they have no way out. What will they do?

3. A teenage girl is left home alone while her parents are out. While alone, she starts to see some weird activity and unusual noises outside of her house. She tries to ignore it but someone is trying to get into her house. Who or what could it be?

The pros that we came up with for pitch number one is that it would consist of many camera angles and would be really interesting aswell. for cons, we would have to find woods which is difficult for where we live. Also, we don't have the right props to film this and since neither of us have a job, we would be lost for what to do. For pitch number 2, the pros are we could use any of our houses for when we film. Along with the that pro another one is not many props would be needed. We wouldn't need any specific costumes either so it would be easy to film. The cons are not many good camera angles for us to use, also needs more than 2 people for filming but we can't provide that because all our friends have busy schedules. Finally, for pitch number 3 it would be easier because only 2 people are needed. We wouldn't have to worry about someone cancelling over and over again. on our last project we relied on our friend and he ended up having an issue because he was flakey. We can also easily film at each others houses for this film, there would be no need to worry for rides to different places. Me and onara discussed props earlier so we already know the props won't be a problem in this matter. The only con about pitch three is having to find camera angles to use while shooting. 

But, at the end onara and i tabled for a while brainstorming what we should make our film as. We decided on pitch number 3 because it had more pros to it than the cons. We also both liked this idea the most and would be fun to make. We can easily fix any cons pitch 3 have with no problem.

 As we know from last project and this one, onara is the editor and camera woman while i’m the actor and idea person. With our final task coming up we have both realized that i’m going to need to learn editing. This is because the video will be longer than anyone we’ve ever done, which will make it trickier for onara to edit. Longer clips to edit, longer clips to film, transition etc. So i decided that i would be with onara while she edits this time. This is so in the future i know how to help her and i can learn by watching her. What we did is for the first part of editing which was cutting the scenes. Basically just cutting the scenes to be shorter so we didn’t take as much time in the video. Such as the key, they zoomed in out which gives the audience a sense of importance to the key. along with the statues of skulls and creatures.  3. What connotations do these images carry? Group Blog

  I chose onara to work with for many reasons. The first reason is i see her almost everyday afterschool for volleyball. So i would be able to shoot with her after volleyball or before outside of school. Secondly, Our parents are friends. They trust that we will be both safe in either of there hands. If i had a partner whos family i didn't know, my parents wouldn't be to comfortable leaving me in their care. Another reason why i chose her is because she's good at finding the needed and correct research. If we need to find something ASAP she is able to quickly find it. She also is a good value to the project because she knows how to shoot. What i mean is she knows how to recognize angles and shoot them clearly. What i can bring to the table is resources. We have already thought about our commercial and what we were thinking i can provide the resources we need for it. Such as the props needed and the transport needed to go where we need for shooting.
