Our title design

 Onara and I didn't have an issue with choosing what our title design would be because since were doing horror, there are only a few that would fit right into our film. Horror movie title design is a critical component in establishing the mood and tone of a film. Regardless of the approach, a well designed horror movie title can be an effective way to draw in viewers and set the stage for a terrifying cinematic experience. 

To begin we were thinking of naming our film "unidentified". At the moment were not 100% sure that we like this title since in the future we might think of a way better one but we feel this title creates a sense of mystery in which the viewers would want to watch. 

For our idea, we want to have two different types of titles, both different. For the first title, we want it we want to have a basic title that shifts from jet-black to bone white with then a flash on the screen to transition. The font we would use for this first title would be called "Bernard MT Condensed". We believe this is a really good basic font that also shows statements, for colors this font would probably be a similar color to what the background of the setting in our film is, but it will not blend in with the background at all. For the second time of title the font would probably he called "Viner HandITC", This font honestly looks like it was handwritten, and changing the color of it looks like blood. I would use this title for the actual name of our film. For Names when the camera pans around the house, we wish to scatter names around on walls and whatever we find. Most shots are POV shots so going around a corner and seeing a name will fit the theme perfectly. With only two of us there won't be many titles found as we won't have as many actors but we will direct and film. For size of our titles, we aren't exactly sure the size we want but they'll be a size where they don't take over the screen, but also are shown so the audience can see it clearly.The titles will disappear once the scene changes. Our movie takes inspiration from classical home horror movie films. Scream and paranormal activities have similar titles and opening scenes. The use of the color red, specifically in the blood accents, adds a visceral element that immediately sets the tone for the movie. With our idea of a killer we want to add the effect on titles and they can even fade in blood depending on the direction we go. We have inspiration now we have to execute. But onara and I will figure it out. I am a bit stressed out but the project will be really fun to make.

Also being a director of a movie genre I love is amazing.
