Title Research: Manhunt
1. What titles are displayed during the opening sequences?
Name of company, production, who filmed, what books its based on, editor, producer, name of main characters
2. What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?
Someones notes and many pictures of people
3. What connotations do these images carry?
These images give me crime or sometimes similar to crime connotation. They seem to be pictures of notes and magazines and the magazines look like news articles of crimes committed. The picture of the people show that they might be involved.
4. How does this film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset?
I believe this genre is crime because of the countless amount of magazines and notes found. These notes might be signify someone investigating the case.
5. What strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to the target audience?
The sound is really mysterious and just by looking at the pictures the audience isn't sure of what this music might be about, so it would interest the audience so they stay to what the movie.
6, How has technology been used effectively?
Editing was very good because of the way the pictures were moving. There weren't any camera angles though since this opening sequence looks like writing and drawings on paper, which is another reason why editing was done well.
