How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent  social groups or issues? - Our projects conventions is the genre. Our genre convention was country. How we used that Genre in our music video is by having the characters for it. We had country girl characters to Represent the country genre which is how we used conventions. How are convention represents social Groups is because it given them a chance to become friends with others doing the  same genre. It gives them a feeling of comfort in knowing others are having struggles you have. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text- Our music video engages with the audiences because the audience is teenagers and so are we. We use teen situations in our music video. Such as the lesbian lovers, the golfcart, and the way The girl handled the situation. By the way the girls stomped out of the golfcart and couldn't  make up their minds about each other...

 Obviously to get the right perspective of this editing blog i needed to ask onara my self. So that’s exactly what i did. During media studies in class i asked her if could FaceTime later that night. Once we were on FaceTime i talked to her about what i was thinking. Basically what my ideas for the future in our group were. After we talked she agreed with me about reviewing how to edit with her and watching her do it. She agreed that she might need the extra help at hand in the future with editing. She elaborated on how stressful it can be for her because the grades counts on how good the music video looks. If she didn’t edit the music video very well then we don’t get a good grade on it. So since we agreed on that we started working. Onara said that from her perspective the hardest part about editing is getting the timing down. By this she means with the song timing up with the lyrics we’re saying. She said it takes patience and power to do it. It could do hours to finish or minut...

 As we know from last project and this one, onara is the editor and camera woman while i’m the actor and idea person. With our final task coming up we have both realized that i’m going to need to learn editing. This is because the video will be longer than anyone we’ve ever done, which will make it trickier for onara to edit. Longer clips to edit, longer clips to film, transition etc. So i decided that i would be with onara while she edits this time. This is so in the future i know how to help her and i can learn by watching her. What we did is for the first part of editing which was cutting the scenes. Basically just cutting the scenes to be shorter so we didn’t take as much time in the video. This was easily done on the iPhone just by clicking edit on the camera app. Then she started putting the clips together. She put the clips together with an app called cap cut. We had just finished our scenes on the golf cart yesterday night. It was so late and we were all exhausted from school. Jenna was more exhausted then any of us because she had her tennis lessons right before. Since we were all tired and didn't want to film anymore we decided to meet up the day after. We met up at night once again so the timing all fit. By this i mean we couldn't have all our scenes at night and then a few other scenes during the day, it wouldn't make sense. So onara and jenna both came to my house at around 6 o'clock again. Since me and jenna were changing settings we also changed wardrobe. We changed into our pajamas. We changed into pjs because we left off our filming at the part where the girl and girl are meeting up after the whole golf cart incident. So it's nighttime and bedtime. The parents think there sleeping and don't know that there sneaking out. That is why we changed our wardrobe into sleepwear. The lyrics are "sneaking out lat...

After many problems happened with our film, we finally started. Our friend jenna stepped in for our male actor. We had all decided jenna would be on the girly girl in the "relationship". We had to wait until about 6 for jenna to be able to film. We had originally filmed the scenes i had alone to be shot without her in earlier daylight. Sadly, with the way we had the scenes it just didn't work. Me and onara had to wait to film until jenna was here. Since the new daylight saving time changes, at 6 it got dark extremely quickly.It was a lot harder to film then we had planned. We had todo many retakes, change directions of where we were going, etc. Since i have a newer phone with a newer camera not all the shots were terrible, thank goodness. A pro to shooting at night was we needed that time of day for our scenes. We had to do the "sneaking out late" scene and that wouldn't have worked during the day. In a previous blogs, Brennon, onara and I were supposed to film our blog last week friday. We all ended up having other commitments that we need to attend to. Since we had other commitments we needed to find another day to film. Once we did we kept having to rechedule. The first time was because of bad weather in our area for a long lasting period of time. Most of our film is outside so we needed to be outside to finish filming which because of the weather we couldn’t do. We all talked and ended up getting another day to film. This film session ended up also being cancelled due to other priorities in our personal lives. The boy we needed cancelled on us for a soccer game we had to attend. He’s one of our main actors in the film so this caused a reschedule once again. The last day we could film was the 10th of October aka today.  Another day, another blog. We have to reschedule our filming once again. This is now the second time our group has had to reschedule the day we film. We decided it wasn't important to blog about since we decided to just film later in the day. We ended up not being able to do that because of the weather. It was raining outside heavily, dangerously. Although the golf cart does have a roof to cover the actors from the rain, the filmer isn't covered. They would be outside in the rain, at risk of getting sick. We thought everything was gonna work out and be fine when we decided to film again but we were wrong. The day we decided to reschedule but it ended up not working.
